Navigate to the Buildxact Customizable Layout in the Estimate section under the Quote letter tab, this is where you can make changes to each section of the quote letter layout.

By default, nearly all sections are toggled on to show the customer relevant information. You can choose to toggle off sections and not show your customer.

There are only two sections that are toggled off by default -

In the Cover Page section, you can "Change Template" to view other designed layouts, toggle off your Business Logo and Estimate Description, use or change the Background Image and perform "Advanced Editing" to make more complex changes to the layout design.

Click on "Change Template" to make changes to your overall layout. There are currently three (3) templates to choose from.

In the Letter section you can "Change Template" to view other designed layouts, edit the Content description of the letter and use placeholder text to pull through information such as your customer’s name.

You can perform "Advanced Editing" to make more complex changes to the layout design.

You can also save different letter presets depending on the type of quote you are doing. Click on the ‘Presets’ button to save a preset or access one you have saved.

In the Quoted Items section, you can "Change Template" to view other designed layouts, modify the Content description and use the Settings checkboxes to show information to your customer about your quoted items.

You can perform "Advanced Editing" to make more complex changes to the layout design.

We are often asked how to fix side margins and remove white space. To do this

click on the description area in the preview to bring up the HTML, navigate to the appropriate line, hit enter after the existing code to add another line, and type in margin: 35px;.

You can further adjust the margins or modify the content layout within this advanced editing mode.

In the Allowances section, you can "Change Template" to view other designed layouts, modify the Content description area of Prime Cost and Provisional Sums if you would like to explain it differently to your customer.

By default, mark-up percentage on allowance list will be toggled off and not be shown on your Quote.

You can perform "Advanced Editing" to make more complex changes to the layout design.

In the Specifications section, you can "Change Template" to view other designed layouts, show any specifications and imagery of products/appliances that will be installed. E.g., Specific branded oven.

In the Quote Summary section, you can "Change Template" to view other designed layouts, edit the Content description area and choose to show your mark-up & category totals. By default, mark-up & category totals will be toggled off and not be shown on your Quote. You will be able to toggle on these settings to show mark-up and category totals in your Quote.

You can perform "Advanced Editing" to make more complex changes to the layout design.

In the Terms and Conditions section, you can "Change Template" to view other designed layouts, edit the Content description area and save presets. You can choose how many days your quote is valid for in the Settings area.

In the Contact Us section you can "Change Template" to view other designed layouts, edit the Settings to toggle off the business logo, name, address, contact email and phone number. You can also use the existing Background Image or replace with a new image by click the ‘Edit’ button.
