In this article we show you how you can customize your quote letter by changing the background images on the cover page or contact us page. There are two ways to upload an image to your quote letter, via Background Settings or via Advanced Editing on the cover page and Contact Us page.

Important considerations:

  • You will be able to upload only Image file types, most common types of formats of images are JPEG, PNG, GIF and BMP. Please note that the image format could determine the way they are displayed in your quotes.

  • Photos will display in the same orientation that they were shot in during a PDF export. If you image is rotating, try converting the image to a PNG with a photo editor and reuploading.

  • You will not be able to upload images in certain formats like PDF, word, etc.

  • The maximum size of the image that you can upload in the 'Background settings' is 5MB.

  • You will be able to upload an image more than 5MB via Advanced Editing, however you will need to re-size the image to fit the quote by following instructions below.

  • Ideal image’s size must be between:

Width: 1440 Height:960

Width: 1920 Height: 1080

Which way is right for you?

If you have a background image that is the ideal size you can upload it using 'Background settings' in either the cover page or contact us page.

If you have a background image that requires further editing e.g. it's size needs to be edited. You will need to use 'Advanced editing'.

Uploading an image using 'Background settings'

  1. In the cover page or contact us page section of your quote letter click the 'Edit' button under 'Background settings'.

  2. Your file explorer window will open and you will need to navigate to wherever the image you want to upload is stored. Once you have found the image you want to upload click on the image then click 'Open'.

  3. Your image is now uploaded.

Uploading and editing an image using 'Advanced editing'

  1. In the cover page or contact us page section of your quote letter click 'Advanced editing'. The editing window will pop up.

  2. Click on the white space where you want the image to go and to the left an editing panel will appear.

  3. Scroll down in the editing panel to the background image section and click on 'Upload Image' button. Your file explorer window will open and you will need to navigate to wherever the image you want to upload is stored. Once you have found the image you want to upload click on the image then click 'Open'.

  4. Once your image is uploaded you can resize and style by clicking on 'Apply Effects & More'.

  5. The effects window will pop up and you can edit the size and much more.

  6. Once you have made all edits in the effects window click 'Save' in the top left-hand corner. To save all changes made click the 'Save Template' button located in the top right-hand corner.

Note: If you don't want to save the changes while in advance editing you can click 'Exit Advanced Editing' to not save your changes. The reset button will take your template back to it's original default. This is useful when you are not happy with the changes you have made and would like to reset the template to start again.
