Importing your plans into Buildxact enables you to scale your plans and create takeoffs. This process eliminates the need for paper copies of plans measured manually, it keeps all your plans, measurements, and takeoffs attached to the project in one place, improving the speed and accuracy of your work.
Navigate to Estimates in the left-hand menu.
Click on the Plans & Takeoffs tab.
Click on the Upload a plan button.
Drop files into the highlighted area or click to upload from computer files.
Select the plans you want to upload from your computer. You will be given the option to specify pages or a range of pages to import. You can import all pages by leaving this blank.
Click 'Import' to start the import process.
Once the plans have been imported you will be prompted to scale the plans.
Click 'Cancel' if the plans have different scales or click 'Confirm' if plans are all the same scale.
If you encounter a "no plan could be found" error message, try refreshing the page and attempting the action again.
