If you are sending out an email request for a quote to one of your contractors, or you are a contractor/sub-contractor/tradesperson receiving an email requesting a quote, this article explains what gets sent and the process involved in responding to the request.

The following sample template, populated with relevant details entered into Buildxact by the job owner, is sent to a contractor/sub-contractor/tradesperson asking them to quote on the job.

To provide a quote, the contractor/sub-contractor/tradesperson clicks on the 'View Quote Request' button and is taken to the following screen. If they're interested in quoting, they click 'Next'.

The next screen details the items that require costs. The contractor/sub-contractor/tradesperson fills out their amount (1), checks the total (2) and clicks 'Next' (3).

On the final page, it's possible to upload any relevant attachments, CC any additional recipients, and add notes. The job owner is notified once 'Submit Quote' has been clicked.

Any questions please contact our Customer Support Team via the chat button in Buildxact.
