Q: The app won't load


A: Are you trying to load it from a bookmark? We update the app over the weekend, so most likely there is some old data saved in your browser that is messing with the loading process.

Are you able to visit app.buildxact.com/logout.

This should refresh the data in your browser and allow the app to load properly.

Also, if the login page works in incognito mode but not in normal mode, try clearing your browser history for the time range of "All Time". This should help resolve any login issues related to browser cache.



Q: What should I do if I need urgent assistance with a known bug in Buildxact?

Q: How long do Buildxact webinars typically last?


A: Buildxact webinars generally run for approximately an hour. Q: What currency is the software price in?


A: Please visit www.buildxact.com/pricing to view the price in your region-specific currency (USD, AUD, CAD, or GBP).



Q: What currencies are supported in Buildxact and can I use it without any currency?

A: Buildxact currently supports Dollars and Pounds. There is no option to remove the currency or use it without any currency. If your desired currency is not supported, you may consider using USD as an alternative.


Q: How can I cancel my Buildxact subscription?


A: To cancel your subscription, follow these steps: ​

  1. Go to your subscription page by following this link: https://app.buildxact.com/account/subscription

  2. Check if your account is set to auto-renew. If so, there will be a Cancel hyperlink.

  3. Select a cancel reason from the dropdown box.

  4. Enter your comments re cancelling.

  5. Click 'Cancel Subscription'. ​

Please note that if you cancel your subscription, the cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle/contract period. Once cancelled, you will not have access to your previous work unless you subscribe again to reactivate your account.


Q: Can emails from Buildxact be tracked and the sender identified?


A: Your communications tab will show all messages sent from Buildxact to your clients. All messages will come from [email protected] unless you've integrated your email account via Pro level integrations.


Q: Do you provide in-house estimation services or project advice?


A: Buildxact itself does not provide estimating services, but we work with partners who provide various industry services and expertise. Please visit https://www.buildxact.com/our-customers/partners/find-a-partner/ to find a partner in your region.


Q: Can I copy data from one Buildxact account to another?


A: To copy data from one Buildxact account to another, you can use the estimate sharing feature. Here are the steps to share an estimate:

  1. Go to your list of estimates and click the share button.

  2. Enter the email of the account you're sending to. Note that this needs to be the registered email of that account.

  3. Choose the restrictions you want to apply to the estimate when the other person gets it.

  4. Click share, and both accounts will receive a confirmation email advising of the shared estimate.


Q: How can I access my old quotes after cancelling my Buildxact subscription?


A: Once you cancel your Buildxact subscription, you will lose access to your old quotes. To regain access to your old quotes, you will need to resubscribe to the platform.


Q: How do I resolve login issues and complete the login process after updating my email address?


A: If you're having trouble logging in, first check if the email address associated with your account is correct. If there is a misspelling, contact support to correct it for you. Once your email address is updated, you should receive a "Welcome to Buildxact" email from our system. Use the activate link in that email to set up a new password and complete the login process.


Q: Do subcontractors need to subscribe to Buildxact to open and submit quotes, and why are some subcontractors being asked to sign up and subscribe?


A: Subcontractors do not need to subscribe to Buildxact to open and submit quotes. If a subcontractor has been asked to sign up and subscribe, it could be an error, such as the subcontractor being switched to an expiring trial by accident. In these cases, the subcontractor can be moved to a freemium account, which allows them to continue responding to your RFQs for free. Q: How do I remove a user seat from my subscription and what if I deleted the user but not the user seat?


A: To remove a user seat from your subscription, you need to go to your subscription settings and remove the extra user altogether after deleting them. If you deleted the user but not the user seat, you will still be charged for the user seat. Make sure to remove the user seat from your subscription settings.


Q: Why has my discount reduced on my last bill, and what can be done to adjust it?


A: Some of our partner discounts have been reduced as of the 1st September, 2023. You should have received an email about this when the price increase emails were sent. If you are connected to multiple partners, the higher discount will be used. This will take effect as of your next billing period.


Q: How can I use Buildxact on multiple devices and manage different user accounts without causing cross authentication issues?


A: You can use Buildxact on two different computers under each of your logins. Just make sure not to cross authenticate the users. To activate a different user without causing cross authentication issues, you would need to log out of your account and log in as another user. Alternatively, you can use an incognito window to avoid cross authentication issues.


Q: How can I improve Buildxact's performance and address slow loading issues?


A: To improve Buildxact's performance and address slow loading issues, first, check your device's memory and CPU usage by accessing the task manager. You can do this by right-clicking on the explorer bar at the bottom of the screen and then viewing processes. Ensure you have sufficient memory and CPU usage available on your device. Additionally, check if you have any antivirus or security software, plugins, or extensions on your browser that could be affecting the loading speed.


Q: How do I set up and use various features in Buildxact?

A: To set up and use various features in Buildxact, follow these resources: 1. Adding a shortcut to your home screen for mobile access. 2. Import data from Excel: - Importing a pricelist - Importing contacts - Importing clients


Q: Can I track and identify changes made by other users in my Buildxact account?

There is no way to see specific changes made by another user to your work in progress. It is not recommended for multiple users to work on the same project simultaneously, as it can lead to data loss or overwriting of changes. Additionally, working on the same estimate at the same time can cause concurrency issues.
