How do I clear my browser cache?

Learn how to clear your browser cache to resolve an issue. Includes instructions for Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari on iOS.

Clear Safari cache

  1. Launch Safari

  2. Select Safari > Preferences

  3. Click the Advanced tab.

  4. Click on the Show Develop menu bar checkbox

  5. Select the Develop menu (top of screen) and click Empty Cache.

You can now hide the Develop menu via the Advanced tab and uncheck the Develop menu from the Advanced Tab.

Clear Firefox cache

  1. With Buildxact open, click the top right menu button on your browser window

  2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu

  3. Select Privacy and Security from the new page that opened

  4. Scroll down and select Clear Data from the Cookies and Site Data section

  5. Select Cached Web Content and Site Data if applicable.

  6. Click Clear.

You can now close out of the settings tab

Clear Google Chrome cache

  1. Whilst in Buildxact, click on the 3 dots in the top right of Chrome

  2. Go to 'More tools'

  3. Click on 'Developer tools'

  4. In your Buildxact window, right click on the Refresh button

  5. Click 'Empty cache and hard reload'

You can now close the Developer Tools window

Clear Safari cache on iOS device

  1. Open Settings

  2. Scroll down and tap Safari

  3. Scroll down again and tap Clear History and Website Data, tap it once again to confirm

  4. Alternatively, deleting the app and reinstalling it’s another option
