Connecting your accounting software to Buildxact means your expenses and income are entered once, saving you valuable time. This article gives you a quick overview and points you to the full setup guide for your accounting software.
Choose your accounting software
Our main accounting integrations are Xero and QuickBooks. Each guide walks you through connecting, setting up your sync settings and syncing.
We also connect with MYOB AccountRight. If you need help setting up MYOB, contact our support team.
Before you connect
Xero users: you need 2-step verification (multi-factor authentication) turned on for your Buildxact login before you can connect to Xero. If it isn't set up yet, you'll be asked to do it while connecting.
North America: set up your tax profile in Buildxact first, so Buildxact and QuickBooks calculate tax the same way. See Tax Profile/Settings in North America.
What the integration can do
Sync purchases and invoices: received purchase orders and customer invoices sync from Buildxact to your accounting software.
Import bills: bring bills from your accounting software into Buildxact and turn them into purchase orders. This is available for Xero and QuickBooks, not MYOB.
Auto-receipting: when a payment is recorded in Xero or QuickBooks, Buildxact creates a matching receipt and updates the invoice to partially or fully paid. Turn on Invoice payment syncing in your accounting integration settings.
Attachments sync (QuickBooks): attachments on purchase orders go to the matching bill in QuickBooks, and attachments on imported QuickBooks bills come into Buildxact. In Sync Settings, make sure Import bills is on, then turn on Import documents.
