You can convert your completed work on category items into recipes with a couple of steps in Buildxact. Before we get started, I suggest checking out this guide on creating and loading recipes.

First, we need to export the estimate or actual costings into excel.

When the options menu drops down, select Export to Excel

Now that we have your Estimate or Actual Costings in an excel document, we need to format the data in order to make it compatible for recipe importing. Here is a template you can use for formatting your data.

You are now all set to continue with import process.
