Estimate Statuses

To check on the status of your estimates, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Estimates, this will open the estimates sub tab.

  2. Click on All to see your total number of estimates in Buildxact. Listed underneath are those estimates and their status.

  3. When you begin an estimate, the status will automatically be set as 'Draft'

  4. There are manual statuses (In Progress, Not Sent, Final, Sent, Awaiting Approval and Digitally Accepted) that can be applied to estimates to track their progress.

  5. There is one automatic status change and that is all estimates that have been converted to a job will automatically change to Accepted.

6. The statuses can be found, and changed, by opening the estimate, and clicking on the drop-down menu to the right of the estimate title.

Select the status you would like to apply to the estimate.

The progress for your jobs can be determined at a glance by looking at the Progress heading on the Jobs screen.

The progress for individual tasks is explained in more detail under Task Progress in the following help article:

Marking job status as complete

The end date of the last task in the schedule determines the completion date of the job. For more information on tasks within the job schedule, see Using the task tool in the article above.

It's possible to mark the entire job as completed (without having to mark each task as complete) by following these steps:

Click on the Settings drop-down menu and select Mark job as complete.
