Connecting Your Home Depot Account

To begin, follow these steps to connect your Home Depot account to Buildxact:

  1. Navigate to Integrations > Supply Integrations in Buildxact.

  2. Find Home Depot at the top of the list and click Connect.

  3. Enter your phone number to receive a one-time passcode.

  4. Enter the code and submit the request.

  5. Home Depot will review the connection request and verify your identity.

  6. Once approved, your integration status will update to Connected.

  7. You will receive a confirmation email and in-app notification.

Viewing Home Depot Pricing

Once connected, you can access Home Depot pricing in different areas:

  • Catalogs: View item prices and assemblies categorized for easy browsing.

  • Estimates & Templates: Utilize pre-built Home Depot templates for single-story houses with pre-filled items.

Searching for Home Depot Items

There are multiple ways to find Home Depot items in Buildxact:

  1. Search in an Estimate: Enter an item description in the estimate search bar to find matches.

  2. Browse the Catalog: Navigate through categories to locate items manually.

  3. Use Home Depot Item Codes:

    • If you find an item on the Home Depot website, copy its Internet Number.

    • Paste it into the Buildxact search bar to locate the corresponding item.

    • This process works in reverse—Buildxact displays Home Depot item codes that you can use to search on their website.

Using the AI-Powered Home Depot Tool

The AI tool simplifies material selection and estimation:

  1. Click Add with AI in your estimate.

  2. Enter your material requirements (e.g., square footage for drywall).

  3. AI will generate a recommended item bundle.

  4. Review assumptions to ensure accuracy.

  5. Modify the request if needed and regenerate.

  6. Add items individually or as an assembly group.

Syncing Live Home Depot Pricing

To update your pricing to reflect the exact rates in your Home Depot Pro Xtra account:

  1. Click Get Latest Prices in the bottom-left corner.

  2. If prompted, set your local Home Depot store.

  3. Prices will sync based on your Pro Xtra account discounts.

  2. Click Create Quote in Pro Xtra.

  4. A unique quote number will be assigned.
