Connecting Your Home Depot Account
To begin, follow these steps to connect your Home Depot account to Buildxact:
Navigate to Integrations > Supply Integrations in Buildxact.
Find Home Depot at the top of the list and click Connect.
Enter your phone number to receive a one-time passcode.
Enter the code and submit the request.
Approval will be instant unless there has been an error made with the Pro Xtra number and in that case it needs manual checking.
You will receive a confirmation email and in-app notification.
What resources appear in your account upon connection
Once connected, you can access Home Depot pricing in different areas:
Catalogs: View item prices and assemblies categorized for easy browsing.
Estimates & Templates: Utilize pre-built Home Depot templates for single-story houses with pre-filled items.
Using the Blu AI-Powered Home Depot Tool
There are two options here:
Using the Blu estimate generator - when creating a new estimate, choose the Blu estimate generator (if available on your account) instead of an estimate template and follow the prompts.
Using the Blu assembly assistant - when in an existing estimate, head to the estimate costings screen and open a category. Inside there you will have a Blu assembly assistant button. Click that an follow the prompts
Searching for Home Depot Items
There are multiple ways to find Home Depot items in Buildxact:
Search in an Estimate: Enter an item description in the estimate search bar to find matches.
Browse the Catalog: Navigate through categories to locate items manually.
Use Home Depot Item Codes:
If you find an item on the Home Depot website, copy its Internet Number.
Paste it into the Buildxact search bar to locate the corresponding item.
This process works in reverse—Buildxact displays Home Depot item codes that you can use to search on their website.
Adding Estimated Items to Your Pro Xtra Account
To streamline purchasing:There are two options here:
Push items from your estimate - when there are Home Depot items in your estimate and you hit the prepare quote button you will be prompted to send items at this point. Click sync if you want to push items to your Pro Xtra at that time. Note that if the job is already created for this estimate, the popup will no longer appear prompting you to push estimate items to Pro Xtra.
Push items from your job - once the job is open and the estimate is accepted you can head to your actuals costings screen and click the prompt up the top to push items from the job to Pro Xtra. Note that the prompt will only be there if Home Depot items exist in that job.
Regardless of which option you choose, you can head into your Pro Xtra account to complete the transcation.
