If you connect to Quickbooks in North America and discover that the tax dropdown box is empty when you attempt to enter the settings, this article will show you how to fix it.

This is how the dropdown box appears when the settings are missing:


This occurs when tax has not set up in your Quickbooks account correctly. Follow these steps to fix the issue:

  1. Log into your Quickbooks account

  2. Head to Taxes and click on 'Use Automatic Sales Tax'

  3. Follow the steps to set up for the region or regions you work in

  4. Once complete, return to Buildxact and the tax dropdown boxes will be populated.
