What does each section of the left-hand navigation menu do in Buildxact?

This article will give you an overview of each section in the left-hand navigation menu in Buildxact.

  1. The My Business section is where you will set-up your business details such as your Tax details, Logo and business contact details that will populate on your quote letters and other areas throughout Buildxact. You can also manage your users, subscription, tax rates and more.

  2. The Dashboard section is your homepage when logging into Buildxact. You will see a monthly calendar with any tasks you have scheduled against jobs, be able to see a list of recently accessed estimates and jobs to be able to quickly get back to them and an active pie chart showing you your percentage of quotes won.

  3. The Leads section (Pro Subscription) is where you will be able to record and manage all your leads.

  4. The Estimate section is where you will be able to create and view your estimates. From entering estimate details, uploading plans and completing take-offs, enter estimate costings, sending out RFQs (Pro Subscription), specifications and the quote letter.

  5. The Jobs section (Pro Subscription) is where you can manage your jobs from start to finish. From entering your job details, populating and manage your schedule, creating purchase and work orders, oversight of actual costings, managing your variations and invoicing.

  6. The Request for Quotes section (Pro Subscription) is where you can view and manage all RFQs you have submitted across all estimates.

  7. The Clients section is where you can view and manage all your customers' (Builders & Trades) details as well as communicate with them. This section is populated from your leads and estimates section or can be imported from an existing spreadsheet of your clients.

  8. The Contacts section is where you can view and manage contact details of your manufacturers, suppliers, or any companies you work with as well as communicate with them.

  9. The Communications section will show all email, SMS, notifications, and conversations that you have had with you clients or contacts through the Buildxact app.

  10. The Catalogs section is where you will be able to upload, access, manage and store pricing catalogs and recipe/assembly catalogs.

  11. The Integrations section is where you can connect to key accounting software such as Xero, connect Deputy for timesheet management and connect up to 4 existing email accounts (e.g., Outlook) so you can access and reply to your emails from within the Buildxact app.

  12. The My Profile section allows you to view your login details, reset your password and logout.

  13. The Explore section is where you can see updates for newly released features and Buildxact news, read our FAQ articles, watch our video tutorials, suggest a new feature, book in to attend one of our live webinars or send us a message.

  14. The Send us a message allows you to chat with the support team inside the Buildxact app, search for support articles or book in a call back.
