About Blu Credits.
With the introduction of Estimate Assistant, we’ve introduced Blu Credits, a simple way to manage and meter your Estimate Assistant usage within Buildxact.
Blu Estimate Assistant is included at no additional cost with Buildxact Pro and Master Plans, as well as Foundation with the Estimate Generator Add-On.
These plans include a monthly allowance of Blu Credits at no additional charge… and if you’re a heavy user of Estimate Assistant, you’ll be able to purchase additional credits directly within Buildxact.
How Blu Credits work
Your monthly allowance
Your Buildxact plan includes the following monthly Blu Credit allowance:

Important: Estimate Assistant isn't included in the base Foundation plan. Foundation customers need the Estimate Generator Add-On to access Estimate Assistant.
Your monthly allowance resets each month, aligned to your subscription date. Unused monthly allowance credits expire at the end of the month.
What happens if you run out?
If you use all of your monthly allowance, you can purchase additional Blu Credits directly in Buildxact.
Purchased add-on credits:
Don't expire — they remain available until you use them.
Are only used after your monthly allowance has been used.
Are available immediately after purchase.
Can be purchased using your existing Buildxact payment method.
Checking your credit balance.
You can check your Blu Credit balance and usage directly in Estimate Assistant. You'll be able to see:
Your total available credits, including your monthly allowance and any purchased credits
How many credits you've used
When your monthly allowance resets
You'll receive a notification when you've used 90% of your available monthly allowance, and another notification when you've used it all.
What can I do with my credits?
The number of credits used depends on the complexity of the work Estimate Assistant performs. For this section we’re going to refer to an interaction, where that could be having the Estimate Assistant:
Load and sync plans or documents
Edit your estimate in some way
Answer questions or check information
As a general guide:
Foundation + Add-On: 50 credits ≈ 25 interactions
Pro: 100 credits ≈ 50 interactions
Master: 250 credits ≈ 125 interactions
These are estimates only. More complex modifications may use more credits, while simpler modifications may use fewer.
If you regularly use Estimate Assistant for high-volume estimating or frequently reach your monthly allowance, purchasing additional credits or moving to a higher plan may provide better value. (And, congrats on having such a high volume of work!)
Why does Estimate Assistant use credits?
AI-powered features require computing resources to process each request. Blu Credits allow us to offer Estimate Assistant as part of eligible Buildxact plans while keeping the cost of AI usage aligned with how much the feature is actually used.
This means:
You get an allowance included with your plan
Every plan that includes Estimate Assistant gives you a monthly credit allowance at no additional base cost.
You only pay more when you use more
If your usage goes beyond your included allowance, you can purchase additional credits rather than paying a higher subscription price to cover usage you may never need.
You can use Estimate Assistant without worrying about individual limits
Credits are shared at the account level, so your whole team can use Estimate Assistant from the same credit pool.

Is Estimate Assistant included in my Buildxact subscription?
Estimate Assistant is included at no additional base cost with Pro and Master plans.
Foundation customers can access Estimate Assistant through the Estimate Generator Add-On.
Each eligible plan includes a monthly Blu Credit allowance. If you use more than your included allowance, you can purchase additional credits.
What happens if I run out of credits mid-month?
You'll receive a notification in-app when you've used 90% of your monthly allowance.
Once you've used your included credits, you can purchase additional Blu Credits directly in Buildxact. Purchased credits are available immediately and don't expire.
Do unused credits expire?
Your monthly allowance credits expire when your monthly allowance resets.
Purchased add-on credits don't expire and remain available until they're used.
Your monthly allowance is always used before your purchased credits, so your purchased credits won't be used while you still have included credits available.
Do all Blu features use Blu Credits?
No, only plan uploads/reads and chat interactions within Blue Estimate Assistant will be metered with Blu Credits.
Existing Blu functionality (Generator, Takeoff Assistant, etc.) continues to be included in your subscription.
Can I upgrade my plan to get more credits?
Yes. Upgrading to a higher plan gives you a larger monthly Blu Credit allowance.
For example, moving from Pro (100 credits) to Master (250 credits) increases your included monthly allowance significantly.
If you're regularly purchasing additional credits, upgrading your plan may provide better value depending on your usage.

Do all team members share the same credit pool?
Yes. Blu Credits are shared at the account level, so all users on your Buildxact account use the same pool of credits.
This means your team can use Estimate Assistant without needing to manage individual user limits.
