Quicklinks provide shortcuts to some of the most commonly used actions in Buildxact, making it faster and easier to create and manage key tasks from the home screen.
These shortcuts have been optimised for users working on mobile devices, including phones and tablets, providing a cleaner experience with improved layouts, easier navigation, and features designed specifically for mobile workflows.

What are Quicklinks?
As more customers use Buildxact from mobile devices, we wanted to make common workflows quicker and easier to complete while on the go.
Quicklinks provide direct access to key areas of Buildxact, including:
Leads
Purchase Orders
Change Orders (Variations)
Daily Logs (Site Diaries)
These areas have been improved to provide a better mobile experience, including:
Buttons that scale correctly on smaller screens
Cleaner layouts
Easier navigation
Faster access to commonly used features
Create Lead
The Create Lead Quicklink provides a shortcut to quickly add a new lead directly from the home screen.
This works the same way as creating a lead through the normal workflow, but provides faster access, especially when using Buildxact on a mobile device.
Purchase Orders
The Purchase Order Quicklink provides faster access to creating purchase orders and includes access to receipt scanning using OCR technology.
When creating a purchase order, you can either:
Scan and upload a receipt
Create the purchase order manually
Using receipt scanning
Receipt scanning allows you to upload a receipt and automatically capture the purchase details.
The system will:
Scan the receipt
Identify purchased items
Add those items to the purchase order
Store the receipt against the purchase order
If the system detects information it is unsure about, it will ask you to review and confirm the details.
Allocating scanned receipts
When using receipt scanning, you may need to allocate items to the correct area of your job.
If the purchase order items are not automatically linked to the correct costing areas, you can use the link option to allocate them.
You can allocate items to:
A category
Individual cost lines
The ability to allocate receipt scanned items directly to individual lines is an enhancement available through this workflow.
Completing a purchase order
After scanning and allocating your receipt, you can complete the purchase order process by:
Adding or selecting the supplier contact
Confirming the purchase details
Marking the purchase order as received
Saving the purchase order
Once completed, the costs will be applied to the relevant areas of your job.

Change Orders / Variations
The Change Orders Quicklink provides a faster way to access change orders or variations, depending on your region.
This area has been refreshed and optimised for mobile devices, making it easier to manage changes while away from your computer.
Daily Logs / Site Diaries
The Daily Logs Quicklink provides direct access to creating and managing daily logs (also known as site diaries).
Previously, this workflow may have been completed through the Onsite App or desktop version of Buildxact.
With Quicklinks, you can now access this workflow more easily from your mobile device, with a layout that is better suited for phones and tablets.
