How do I order materials from The Home Depot (THD) in Buildxact?

Learn how to order THD materials directly from your Buildxact account

Material ordering from within Buildxact is available to all THD ProXtra account holders.

There are a couple of ways to access material ordering within Buildxact.

On your Buildxact dashboard, you’ll see Material orders in the left-hand menu, along with a + Order now button (shown below). Click either option. Note: you will be asked to enter your THD Pro Xtra account number.

You can also create a material order from within your Estimate/Estimate Costings (see below).

Creating your first order

Create your first material order by clicking on the Create new order button, shown below.

Ensure you have set your default THD store. This will show in the top left corner of your screen. If there is no default store set, click Change (shown below).

Find your local store by entering your address and click Set as default.

Type the material you're looking for into the search bar (use a description of the material or the SKU, if known). Click Search.

All the material items related to your search and stocked by THD will appear. To refine your search (if necessary) use the drop-down Category and Subcategory menus. Select your material item and click Add to cart. Note the availability of the item(s) for delivery and/or pick up.

Adjust the amount of material you need using the '-' and '+' buttons highlighted below and click on Continue.

Reviewing your cart

  1. Include a description of your order so that it's easy to find later in your list of material orders.

  2. If you are intending to select Pickup for your materials, ensure that the pickup address is set to your local store.

  3. Select Delivery or Pickup.

  4. If selecting Delivery, ensure that the delivery address is set correctly. Note: this can be set to an existing job address or can be manually set by clicking Enter address.

Enter your delivery address and click Save address. You can choose to click Submit quote, which will send a quote request to your THD ProXtra account rep, or Go to checkout, if you're ready to go ahead and purchase the item.

Payment details

  1. Select the card you want to use for the purchase from the drop-down menu. This menu is made up of cards stored in your THD ProXtra account. To change or update this list, follow the instructions listed below the drop-down menu.

  2. Click Pay & order material.

A copy of your material order is stored under Material orders, accessed via the left-hand menu on the dashboard.
