Follow these steps depending on how you want to log in.
Step 1: Enter Your Email
Go to the Buildxact login page.
Enter your registered email address.
💡 This is the email Buildxact knows you by — usually your work email.
Step 2: Choose Your Login Method
You have a few options. Each method uses extra security to keep your account safe.
Option 1: Login with a Code (OTP)
OTP = One-Time Passcode
A short code sent to your email (or phone via SMS) that only works once.
Click “Send code to email”
Open your email and copy the code
Paste it into Buildxact
✅ You’re in
💡 If your phone number is verified, you can also receive the code by SMS.

Option 2: Login with an Authenticator App (MFA)
MFA = Multi-Factor Authentication (aka 2-Step Verification)
This adds extra security — you need two proofs of identity:
Your email/password
A 6-digit code from an authenticator app
Setup:
Go to My Profile → 2-Step Verification
Scan the QR code using one of these apps:
Enter the 6-digit code to log in
Optional: tick “Remember this device for 30 days”
⚠️ Xero users MUST use MFA — this is required for connecting Buildxact to Xero.

Authenticator app not working? Switch to email codes or contact Support.
Lost your phone? Use your recovery code or ask Support to reset MFA.
Didn’t receive your email code? Check spam/junk or request a new one.

MFA is required for Xero users and recommended for everyone else.
Protects your jobs, financial data, and business information.
🔐 Even if someone knows your password, they can’t log in without your OTP or MFA code.
