Adding Contacts and setting up access to a job in Buildxact Onsite
To provide someone with access to a specific job in the Buildxact mobile app, Onsite:
Add the Person as a Contact: Begin by adding the individual as a contact in Buildxact.
Assign Them to a Job: Once added as a contact, assign the individual to the job. This action will generate an invitation for them.
Account Creation: The invitee should follow the invitation link and create a Buildxact account by selecting "Create Account" when prompted.
Access Confirmation: Upon successful account creation and acceptance of the invite, the person will be able to access the job via the Buildxact mobile app.
Controlling Job Visibility and Access for Crew Members
Permissions depend on how roles are configured and whether someone has accepted a job-specific invite:
Onsite App Job Visibility: Crew members using the Onsite app only see the jobs they have been invited to and have accepted. Internal users, like employees or administrators, may have job visibility depending on their role settings.
Restricting Access to Job Schedules: To grant access to a job’s schedule (without broader permissions to the account): - Use the Invite option within the specific job’s settings in Buildxact. - Specify the invitee’s permissions to limit them to view-only access for that schedule.
Role-Based Permissions
The internal user roles available in Buildxact allow for additional flexibility in managing who can see or edit jobs. Ensure you verify each team's permissions in the Role Management section to align with company workflows.
Summary
By carefully managing user roles and properly inviting contacts to jobs, Buildxact provides powerful tools to maintain job-specific access controls, ensuring team members see only what they need. Following these steps will help you maintain control and enhance collaboration efficiency.
