Step-by-step instructions on how to use the Blu: Takeoff Assistant

  1. Navigate to Estimates and select the estimate you want to use for the takeoff.

  2. Click on the Plans & Takeoffs tab.

  3. Click on Upload a plan to upload your plan for the takeoff.

4. Drag and drop your plan file or browse to select a plan from your files.

5. Click Import.

6. Click on Launch takeoffs to begin the auto-scale and measure process.

7. The plans are auto named.

8. The plans are auto scaled.

9. To auto measure the plans, click on the Blu: Takeoff Assistant button and select to auto measure your floor areas or the perimeter of your plans.

10. The following popup will appear to indicate that the auto-measure function is in progress. Please note: auto measure works for floor plans only, not roof plans or elevation.

11. Your plans will appear with room labels based on what's indicated on the plan.

12. The square foot (North America) or square meter (Aus/NZ) measurements for each room is shown here.

13. Use the point edit tool to manually change any of the shapes on your plans.
