Switching your Deputy Sync setting to the Advanced sync option allows you to assign timesheets to specific items within your Jobs.

Turning on Advanced Sync

  1. Navigate to Integrations in the left-hand menu.

  2. Find your Deputy integration tile and click on Configure settings.

3. On the settings screen, toggle on Advanced sync and click Save.

Base Cost vs On Cost Percentage

Base cost is the employee's hourly rate. On Cost is a specific, on-going additional employee cost. Superannuation is a good example of an On Cost expense. Find out more about On Cost in the following Deputy guide: Can I add an on cost percentage to all salaries and wage costs in the schedule? – Deputy Help Center

Assigning timesheet costs (labour/labor) to Job items

Once you have switched on advanced sync your Deputy timesheets will be visible within the Jobs/Imported Timesheets section in Buildxact (shown below). These timesheets are ready for you to create work orders from.

Select your item by clicking on the Select Item drop-down box and choosing the relevant item. This will assign your timesheet costs to the specific job item.

Once this is done, click Create Work Order. This will create a work order for the job, category and against the item.

Please note:

  • any previous mappings to Deputy locations will auto populate required information.

  • if no item is supplied, a new job item will be created within that category.

Restoring ignored timesheets

Any timesheets that have been ignored can be restored by going to the Ignored timesheets area in Settings.

Click on Ignored timesheets.

Click Restore timesheet.
